Since I now have a lot of time on my hands, I made a plan that everyday I must declutter something.
There are several rooms that desperately needs intervention, two being the kitchen and my bedroom.
I had my dream kitchen installed about eight years ago, and I love every single day walking into my house and entering the open plan kitchen, dining and den room. It's a dream. In winter, the underfloor heating keeps it lovely and cosy, and in the Summertime the four large Velux Windows lets in plenty of cool air. ,
When people come in and see it for the first time, they love it: beautiful walnut kitchen cabinets from Ireland, made for measure, a black silestone counter top with little flex of sparkle shining like tiny stars, Italian hob, double oven, microwave and warming drawer and a brilliantly really white floor, all the way from Morocco.
Before one states that I am boasting, in a way I am. The year before I had been diagnosed with having breast cancer, and both myself and the hubby thought that I was not going to make it. Then hubby did everything he possibly could to make my short life enjoyable.
I really didn't know how much money we had in savings, but it was enough for the whole extension on the ground floor as well as having a plush bathroom installed on the first floor!
